I thought I would tell everyone how my average day goes. First thing’s first, I wake up and yell real loud to Mom that I’m hungry and it’s time for breakfast. Mom’s usually pretty good about this since usually she’s up already, but sometimes she’s sleeping and I have to tell her to wake up.
Next comes bathtime, which I LOVE! Unfortunately I only get one every other day, I’ve told Mom I need one every day, but she hasn’t seemed to get the message yet. So me and Mom make waves and splashes and Mom sings “Splish, Splash, We are taking a bath” and I get all clean. Then at the end Dad gets me out, which I don’t like and I tell him every time, but he still gets me out. At least he dresses me in super cool clothes that Mom picks out. Mom gets out the camera a lot of days at this point.
Next come exercises with Dad and voice lessons with Mom. Sometimes Dad does tummy time with me on my gym and sometimes I do it on his tummy. I just got this new toy for tummy time that goes in front of me that’s pretty cool. It’s got all these colors and in the middle is this baby who smiles and laughs and all in all is pretty cute. I am a strong baby, but I can only do tummy time for about 10 minutes though. After that it’s boring.
Right now we’re working on “goo”, “ohh”, “ahh”, and “eee” during voice lessons. Mom says I’m a natural and will just keep on getting better and better. Mom seems to want me to work on the “ma” syllables, but I told her it would probably be a few months before I reach that ability.
By this time I’ve also had second breakfast and brunch, then I usually go down for a nap. Sometimes by myself in my crib, sometimes with Dad in bed, sometimes in my swing and sometimes in my push car so we can go on our daily trips.
I’ve told you all about some of my daily trips. If it’s Sunday, we go to church. That’s interesting, but I sit still for sooo long. Dad says in a little over a year I’ll get to go to a room there with lots of toys and snacks and others babies. If it’s Thursday, Mom and I go to Yoga Class, now that’s LOTS of fun. There’s lots of other babies and mommies and we do these special exercises. If it’s another day we could go anywhere, the beach, the grocery store, the bank, or to stores where Mom plays dress up. She seems to like that one. Sometimes we get to go to toy stores, I like it when we do that. I ALWAYS get a new toy. Dad seems to think I’m going to get spoiled. But from what I can tell Mom and Dad play with my toys just as much as (maybe even more than) me.
By the end of this, it’s usually naptime again and I’ve had lunch, snack, and dinner. Dad and Mom play on the computer at this point. I tell them what to write if it’s time to update my Blog. Sometimes I think they add their own comments when I’m not looking. Dad tries to do exercises with me again, but I usually tell him I’ve already done them once and don’t wanna do them again. So Dad tosses me in the air instead, I’m not sure if I like this or not. Sometimes it’s fun and sometimes it’s scary. If it’s too scary and I need a break I play in my gym some more.
Mom or Dad reads to me while they eat (I get supper afterwards). I figure I’ll be pretty well read by the time I’m one because they read all sorts of books to me. Sometimes it’s storybooks, sometimes it’s the scriptures, sometimes Dad reads me computer books, and lately Mom’s been reading me this book called Pediatric Advanced Life Support Skills. The last one is like a horror novel, I don’t know why she reads me that one.
By the end of the day, I’m usually pretty tired. Mom says I get cranky, but I think she’s the one that gets cranky. So Mom gives me a song and a bedtime snack and then I’m off to sleep. And that is how my busy day goes.
P.S. Congratulations to Grandpa Russ for finishing his first marathon! Now that doesn’t happen in an average day!
P.S.S. Thank you to Grandma Pam and Grandma Pam’s Secret Pal for the new outfit and package of goodies!
