The Christmas party was lots of fun. Mom and I got there really early to make the whole church pretty like. It was a lot of hard work, but in the end it looked just Christmasy.  

    The party started off with the story of the birth of Jesus, I knew that one because Mom and Dad got me the books and told me all about the baby Jesus. Then there was lots of singing and reading from the scriptures.  The food was the best, but Dad says thats because we are in Hawaii and Hawaiians love food, it isn’t as good everywhere else apparently.  I wonder why we would live anywhere else then...  

    I got to talk to lots of people and Mom and Dad went ‘mingling.’ It was pretty cool except for when a bigger boy pushed me down. Mom said it wasn’t on purpose but she just wasn’t watching good enough.

    At the end at big fat guy in red came to give us candy. I had no idea who he was and I was a bit scared. But Mom said not to worry, he was nice.
