Seporah is born!
31/12/05 11:15 Filed in: Steven Says
Sorry it took so long to get this posted. Seporah was
born last night at 1004 eastern time. She is 20.5
inches long, and weighs 9 lbs 2.8 ounces. She has a
full head of short brown hair, and deep dark blue
eyes, that will probably change to brown over the
next couple of months. She is pretty active, and has
a healthy pair of lungs. =) Stay tuned for pictures,
pretty quickly! =) Read

A lot of whining...

Well, it's currently 2:53AM and I finally tossed and
turned enough to kick my husband out of bed and on to
the couch. Never thought that would happen, but I've
only been asleep from 11pm to 1:40am this night. The
rest of the time has been tossing and turning and
moaning and groaning. I am truely sick of being
pregnant. It's said that pregnancy and labor and
delivery causes you to have a greater appreciation
for your mother and I'm thinking this is just not
true. Read

Merry Christmas!
25/12/05 15:55 Filed in: Märia's
bLog
We wanted to write and tell everyone Merry Christmas!
So Merry Christmas! Last night we had friends over
for dinner and we ate duck, tastes less like chicken
and more like turkey for those who haven't had it.
The friends we had over said we were murderers and it
was slightly morbid for us to eat duck since we
collect them :) . Just as a side note we have 20
lightbulbs in our house, 12 of them have burned out
in the past 2 months (three were yesterday and we'd
run out of fresh lightbulbs so it was slightly dark).
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Life and Love and Why

Thoughts
Well, this Christmas season has been entertaining and
interesting all around. I have been studying a new
religion, Messianic Judiasm, and have learned alot
about the bible that I've never really realized
before. I spend all day saturdays there with their
church and then drive home so I can attend church at
the Baptist Church, where I will soon pass on my
Youth Leader responsibilities to someone else.
Probably at the beginning of the coming year.

Happy Christmas Eve Eve!

Well life at the Rushing house is anything but
rushing. It's more like the waiting house. Countdown
to Christmas, countdown to baby being born, countdown
to Steven's birthday, countdown to getting out of
Augusta, Georgia. Although technically we only have
real countdowns for Christmas and Steven's birthday
because we don't know when Seporah will make her
entrance or when we'll make our departure from
Augusta. We were too lazy to do reviews, but watch
Narnia and Zathura. Oh and although I gave King Kong
an 8/10, Steven gave it a 3 thumbs down (with vomit
on the side). Read

Racked with Christmas Card Guilt...
20/12/05 08:08 Filed in: Märia's
bLog
Well it's now happened the fourth year in a row (or
at least it has almost happened). Christmas has come
and gone I have neglected to do my "wifely" duty of
sending Christmas cards and a warm greeting to
everyone. It's not so bad, except yesterday we
recieved a whole bunch in the mail and I thought,
"why didn't I do this again?" The first year we were
married I had just barely survived my first quarter
of nursing school and I didn't feel like sending them
out. Read

Well, I scanned pictures for an hour last night,
finishing two of Grandma's photo albums. Today I set
up a new website for all family pictures. Let me just
say that it is depressing scanning so many pictures
of people that I havn't met, or pictures of loved
ones passed on. Read

The funeral and graveside went ok. Most people think
it went well, but it just isn't so. Too much family
politics. From my view (and i certainly didnt see
everything) it was mainly a side dominating and a
side backing down. Not what should have happened at a
funeral, and best not happen at my Grandfather's. It
was something I wish my Grandfather had not lived to
see. Enough about that. Read
